Best dog TRAINING treats

best dog training treatsWhat do you think the best dog training treats are?

I have written several article in the past and regardless of best intentions i see that people dont get it.

The reason would be:

  • People are dumb
  • People dont care
  • People cant change their mind based on previous actions
  • People still dont understand the connection between healthy treats and just any old treat

Lets look at each one at face value:

  • People are dumb

Listed as number one not to offend, but because by dumb I mean they filter everything at one point of time, and are not willing to re adjust their opinion baed on new information because it will take time to consider and they hvae other things to do.

Dumb in this sense means they are not using any of their senses to evaluate new information. They are dumb, numb and not able to perceive anything new to this topic.

  • People dont care

Is pretty much a statement about most things people do out of habit. We buy the same old stuff at the supermarket because we can afford it, we have a connection to it, and it makes us feel good. How could buying something new for a dog make a person feel good? There is so much info out there that we all go information blind at some stage. better things to think about hey?

  • People cant change their mind based on previous actions

Perhaps this is mostly a guy thing, but do you know how hard it is for people to admit mistakes. We might have to do so in our professional world when the boss has evidence, but in our relationships, in our sporting achievements in almost ever factor, we are told success is the most important thing, so we hang onto old outdated information for as long as we can, if we originally chose it and spent time thinking about it. Otherwise we have to admit we were wrong or the information was wrong or some kind of scape goat.

  • People still dont understand the connection between healthy treats and just any old treat

Lets face it, most people eat crap food for themselves and feed their dogs out of a 20 Kg bag of kibble. Even if your bag of pellets costs $40 or 2 Kg its still most likely going to be 80% wheat or rice, a substance a dog does not naturally eat and does not need to eat and in fact in the long term is bad for them, but ads and vets told us so, so we buy.

IF you are one of these people, why would you buy a health meat based treat for your dog to train them? Its like admitting the dogs main meal is crap – which it mostly is and is mostly crapped out in a big solid mountain of poo – but you cant change the main meal so you might as well buy some rubbish for a treat too …

Sorry about this post, I was just having the kind of day where I like telling the truth ..
